The Story behind the Mikuni Carb T-shirt Design:
A few years ago I saw a 1989 YZ490 beside the road in a trailer with a sale sign on it. When I drug it home, it was a disaster. So, I spent a year tinkering on it to get it in a semi-restored state so I could use it at the dunes. Well, during the rebuild, particularly the carb, I may have had a few adult carbonated beverages, which became apparent upon the 3rd kick, when the bike I call “Ping” came to life… and then, it happened. The float bowl nut fell out, causing it to diesel to the moon at 100,000 rpm until it seized. So much for a fresh rebuild. Good story for a shirt graphic.

The Story behind the KTM 495 T-shirt Design:
It was 1983, I was about 14, aboard my 1974 Honda TL125, overlooking a prairie outside of Keystone, CO. Suddenly, it caught my eyes and ears. A screaming blaze of white and orange… A guy slaying a backwards ball cap, shorts, muscle shirt and vans — in a full wheelie at 60+mph and climbing through a field with sage brush bombs—dust billowing behind, his wind-dried fangs smiling as he banged gears. After touch down, we met and rode, but Vic wouldn’t let me ride the KTM495 ’til I was 15. Then my life of envy changed forever. Neurotic, the KTM495 is still the fastest stock dirtbike to date at 123mph. It’s a rare, over-quadratic KTM from the past offering a lifetime memory.

THE STORY OF “BMW CAFE RACER ON BEERCANS”
With the name Motogarten comes a lot of German. I was looking to do a mural on the back of our “Biergarten”, I figured it had to be a little German because they pretty much invented the concept, and who doesn’t like Oktoberfest?!

So, the bike, I thought should probably be German, too. I’ve always been in love with WALZWERK Motorcycles. They are some of the nicest looking BMW Cafe bikes out there.

In 2018 I painted the BMW ON BEERCANS mural along the Reno Mural Tour route, in “Graffiti Alley”. And, I make T-Shirts to match.

THE STORY OF “KICKSTARTER KICK-BACK”
Ever had one of those bikes that just gave you an absolute refusal for starting? Those bikes that wear a kickstarter with that rubber “traction” device worn out? Or, a trashed insole on favorite boots? Usually, a man must embrace a significant amount of scare tissue on their shin to succeed.

How about a blown-knee, or sent over the bars from a kick-back?

On downstroke, your clinched teeth and puckered butt await a strange kick-back or other violent backfire-fueled, compression-released reaction. Well, this, my friends is a tribute to all that sends you over the bars, blows your knee out, aggravates asthma, and scrapes epidermis from your lower limbs in the hopes of riding glory.

The Story behind the "Missing Link" T-shirt Design:
A few of us jumped in a borrowed motorhome as the race trailer pushed us along down HWY20to Thunderhill Raceway to do some roadracing. Well, my buddy Shakes borrowed Jbro’s hammered CBR600, aka DeadPool (he claims its an R6, but why would you paint it red, Jeff! yes. Deadpool). This POS is 90% bailing wire and duct-tape, and 10% dangling Honda Wings that went through some sort of track tornado that sting by their essence of fiberglass splinters. Anyway, Shakes rolls Deadpool through tech, and, get this, IT PASSES! the shocking discovery came afterward… He passed and IT WAS MISSING 2/3d’s of the Master link! After roaming the pits, we found one and got Deadpool back-on-track. Along came this shirt graphic.
